June Bank Holiday 29th May – 1st June 2026

May 29 @ 8:00 am - June 1 @ 5:00 pm

Sati Yoga and Meditation Retreat

29th May to 1st of June 2026

Cultivating awareness, embodying change

Join us for a different type of yoga retreat – one that offers the time and space for deep inquiry through the exploration of classical yoga, early Buddhist teachings, contemporary mindfulness, somatic and breath techniques.

In addition you’ll experience the welcoming atmosphere of Macalla Farm and the unique elemental nature of the island, not to mention the scrumptious vegetarian/vegan meals – all organic, all vegetables/fruit from the farm.

Our time together

By consciously slowing down, we will explore how becoming more aware, more curious and interested, not only changes how we practice – but adds a different dimension to our ordinary lives off the mat or cushion, helping us navigate these extremely challenging and disturbing times we find ourselves in.

Integrating mindfulness (sati in the ancient language of Pali of the Buddha) allows us to deepen our embodied experience, enabling us to find balance between the physical and mental practices of Hatha yoga, breath work and meditation. The longer-than-usual daily sessions create an interactive space for inquiry and experimentation, encouraging questions, insights, feedback.

Investigating our relational experience – to gravity, to the space that surrounds us, we learn how to create the conditions for a natural alignment of the body, necessary for meditation, free and relaxed breathing, easeful asana practice – for the overall integrity of our embodied existence.

This course will be of interest to keen beginners as well as experienced practitioners and teachers, especially to anyone with an interest in establishing or furthering their meditation practice.
