This advanced Sati Yoga intensive enables students to establish a solid foundation in asana, breathwork, meditation and mindfulness from which their own practice and teaching can develop naturally and confidently.

For experienced practitioners and yoga teachers

This is an intensive 9 day course which explores the principles of Sati Yoga from both experiential and theoretical perspectives. With it’s general theme: Embodiment through Practice, this unique training will deepen your understanding and practice of yoga that goes far beyond the physical postures. Through the integration of classical yoga and early Buddhist teachings from a non-dogmatic and secular perspective you will discover that your experience of asana, breath work, meditation will be challenged, extended and ultimately transformed. You will discover that mindfulness (sati) is not just a fashionable add-on but a unique capacity of awareness to be diligently cultivated. Through a creative mix of taught classes, group work, dharma talks and presentations, periods of silence and karma yoga, guided meditations, self-practice sessions, mindfulness practice in nature, the training serves to re-connect us to what matters.

It also introduces a unique approach to breathwork drawing from classical pranayama as well as from the Buddhist perspective exposed in the Anapanasati sutta (the Buddha’s discourse on mindfulness of breathing).

This course forms the first residential module for the 250hr Sati Yoga Teacher Training Programme.and can be used as an entry point into our 500 hours teacher training programme by those who already hold a 200 hours certificate from another school.

It can also be taken as a stand-alone intensive training, providing 60 CPD hrs, allowing students who are new to the Sati Yoga approach an opportunity to experience an intensive training before committing to either of the teacher training programmes.

This course includes a preliminary online module which introduces the four foundational principles of Sati Yoga: Ethics, Body, Breath & Mind and clarifies what to expect on the course. A number of reflections and homework exercises must be completed as preparation for this course.

PRICE

In line with our three tier pricing policy:

• Standard cost of this training is €1450, please pay this price if you can
• Supported rate is €1200 for those who can’t afford the full fee
• Supporter rate of €1650 is available for those who can afford to pay more and would like to support our work and encourage us to continue offering supported rates as well as more substantial financial assistance on our courses.

A 50% deposit is payable by bank transfer or through Paypal if your application is accepted.
A limited number of scholarships are also available, contact us if you can’t afford the full course fee.

• 10 nights accommodation (sharing in twin rooms)  single room supplement is €25  per night
• All meals (delicious organic vegetarian food, most vegetables grown on our farm)
• Nine days of yoga and meditation tuition, equivalent to more than 60 hours of tuition

ACCOMMODATION

The price is based on shared double occupancy and shared bathroom. There are a few single rooms as well as a triple room.
