Connecting to Nature
13 June - 16 June€450
This new four day mindfulness/yoga/walking retreat enables us to re-connect with the world around us, exploring our relationship with the natural world as well as our relationship to our breath, our body, our mind.
On Friday and Saturday mornings, the practice of mindfulness in meditation and its application to physical asana, using classical hatha yoga postures creates a solid foundation when we take the practice outside the yoga shala (whatever the weather), both walking and dwelling in nature. By looking closely at sati (the Pali word for mindfulness) we are able to bring the qualities of discernment, kindness and curiosity with us as we explore some hidden secret places and wide open vistas on the island. Using various mindfulness practices, we are able to cultivate an intimacy within ourselves and the environment with which we interact. Both days are silent until the evening meal when we break the silence and enjoy a delicious dinner, allowing a sharing of the day’s experience to unfold naturally and convivially amongs friends.
This retreat is open to keen beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Due to the nature of the course, a good level of fitness is required (including an ease with heights and walking on uneven ground).
The cost of the course is 450 euros.
