This is our annual five days intensive, exploring more deeply our transformative Sati Yoga approach. This approach shows that opportunities for personal insight and wisdom are endless – offering teachers and practitioners access to a ‘personal and wise path that never leaves us’ from which to teach and learn. It is also shows how Yoga (in all of its 8 limbs) can be a positive force for change in a world perilously out of balance.
This course brings together all that we love in Yoga – its balancing effect on the body and mind through a deepening intimacy with our relationship to experience. Through posture, breath work and meditation, we explore both foundational and challenging practices with discernment, kindness and curiosity. This course also explores a unique and exciting approach to breathwork, drawing from both mindfulness practices from the Buddhist tradition and the practices of classical pranayama.
There will be periods of self-practice within the class schedule so as to help students integrate the material into their own practice. In advance of the retreat, students will have access to an online preparatory module.
This retreat is designed for advanced yoga or meditation practitioners, and is especially suitable for yoga teachers. Please note that it involves periods of silence.
This course includes a preliminary online module which introduces the four foundational principles of Sati Yoga: Ethics, Body, Breath & Mind and clarifies what to expect on the course.
Due to the in-depth nature of the course, we ask that people apply before booking.
If you’re unsure about whether to apply please contact Ciara or Christophe.
